During the 2015-2016 school year, a total of 710 students were tested in the Northern Mariana Islands. Of the 667 juniors and seniors that were tested, only 27.29% were tested under Option 8. The remaining juniors and seniors had their test results sent to recruiters without parental consent.
The ASVAB test was conducted in 7 schools across the territory. The US Military Entrance Processing Command reports that no students in the Northern Mariana Islands were required to take the ASVAB, although the data may suggest otherwise.
